The Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI) advances understanding of the solar system through scientific research, service to the planetary-science community and public engagement. It hosts visiting scientists, postdoctoral researchers and students, organises scientific meetings, and supports access to planetary data and NASA astromaterials resources. LPI is managed by the Universities Space Research Association and operates under a cooperative agreement with NASA’s Science Mission Directorate.
